The Lord, in
one of His most unusual decisions, called me to serve Him as a
missionary, professor of missions, and pastor-teacher.
Although I am an introvert by nature, God has enabled me
to serve Him, along with my wife, Judy, and our children,
Mark, Kathy, and Heather, for 10 years as a missionary in the
Arab world working with the Jordanian Church of the Christian &
Missionary Alliance. After that time I was a professor involved in
teaching students in cross-cultural studies and Director
of the School of World Missions at Toccoa Falls College for 32
years. My major field of study has been Cultural Anthropology, with
a special interest in Religious Belief Systems. My formal
education consisted of an undergraduate degree from Toccoa Falls
College, graduate study at Jaffray School of Missions, MA in Middle
Eastern Studies at the American University of Beirut, and and PhD in
Cultural Anthropology from the University of Georgia. Since my
"retirement" in 2005, the Lord has continued to bless my wife and me
with a home and the oversight of a small congregation in
the North Georgia mountains in a beautiful valley called "Tate
City." It's here, I am taking
care of this website, though it is still my joy to go out of
the valley on periodic excursions to see our children and their
spouses, and our eleven grandchildren.
This site is
dedicated to those who are interested in research tools to aid them
in reaching out into to the unreached peoples, languages and
cultures of the world with the Good News that Jesus Christ died that
all might have eternal life. If you have suggestions or addition,
please let me know. If you care to contact me, I am at norm11@windstream.net

always been to teach the
Good News where the Name of Christ has never been heard, rather than
where a church has already been started by someone
else." Romans 15:20 [NEAT]
